Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things"
2Ti 2:7.

Do you ever wonder what happens to the dull and listless prayers the saints offer to God? Here is a passage that gives us a glimpse of what happens to them!

Rejoice, oh rejoice, all the saints of God!

Rev 8:1-4
1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

There was silence in heaven... the vast innumerable heavenly hosts stood in silent awe and reverent worship, beholding what is being done with the prayers of all saints...

Much incense is offered with the prayers of all saints on the golden altar before the throne of God!

Now you know what happens to the prayers of ALL the saints...

Will this truth stir and encourage you to pray to your Father in heaven?
