Attend to the word; be instant in season, out
of season.

the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing
and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out
of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from
the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure
afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Psalms 23 KJV
1 ¶[[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD is my
shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
The ministry of the word faithfully attended*
to is your precious soul rightly shepherded by Christ's under-shepherds.
Being physically present at a service is not
the same as ATTENDING to the ministry of the word. That explains the scathing censure: "Ever
learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Timothy
3:7 KJT
Few think much of this divine ordinance because it's unspectacular and unglamorous.

verb, to pay attention; listen or watch attentively; direct one's
thought; pay heed.
