Of what/whose faith that it might be of grace?
Of what/whose faith
that
- it might be of
grace?
- the promise might
be sure to all the seed?
Romans 4:16
"Therefore it
is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end THE PROMISE MIGHT BE SURE TO
ALL THE SEED; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is
of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all."
Observe carefully
two things:
- " that it
might be by grace," and
- "... to the
end that the promise might be sure to all the seed."
Will your
understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ pass this acid test: that the
promised redemption might be sure to all the seed?
Does the popular "by
grace are ye saved through faith" - i.e. you are saved by grace through
your act of faith (yes, you exercise the gift of faith from God) - stand the
acid test?
It is of WHAT or
WHOSE faith, that it might be by grace; to the end that the promise might be
sure to all the seed, without exception?
The thinking ones,
like the Bereans, will teach themselves the truth through asking apt questions.
The unthinking ones
continue with their soundbytes and shibboleths.

I like to,
sometimes, fill in the word faith with, the phrase, obedience of Christ.

Socrates made an
assumption that all people have the capacity of thought. Reckon he never met a
pack of socialist liberals.

Cheri: There were
only republicans then! The Republic by Plato was influential.

Sing: there are an
awful lot of modern-day Republicans that are pretty sketchy too. 😉

They are
rino-soulless. LOL
(rino - republicans in name only). They are rhinoceros or rhino-soul-less.
