In a dark room, the
furniture is not manifest!
The light in the room will
bring the existing furniture to light!
The light does not bring the

Do
you preach the gospel to get them into heaven?
-
What is the divinely ordained purpose of the gospel ministry?
-
What does the gospel ministry intend to accomplish?
-
For whose benefit was the gospel ministry ordained?

Bro
Sing, just like to ask...
If
the gospel ministry was only for the early church, why are baptism and the
Eucharist a perpetual performance?[How did Cant get the idea that the gospel ministry was only for the early church?]
sing
Your
question is tooooo deep and profound. I don't understand.
Also
the connection between your "if" and "then" is tooooo blur
to see.
You
had better ask your grand-ankle theologian.
Cantjo
To
be consistent, I thus find spreading the gospel as well as observing the
sacraments perpetual performances...
sing
What
makes you imagine that the gospel is for the early church?
Now
that you find spreading the gospel a perpetual performance, please answer the
questions:
-
What is the divinely ordained purpose of the gospel ministry?
-
What does the gospel ministry intend to accomplish?
-
For whose benefit was the gospel ministry ordained?
sing
A
side note: you speak like a Romish... sacraments, Eucharist!

Corinthians 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am
made all things to all men, that I might, by all means, save some.
To
save as a many whom God has intended to save?? The gospel being the
instrument..
Acts
20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of
all men.
Not
found wanting for having failed to offer the gospel...
Ezekiel
3:18-19 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him
not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his
life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I
require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his
wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou
hast delivered thy soul.
Preaching the gospel is one evidence a saved person has received his effectual call to service.
Cantjo
Paul
didn't intend to save all. He knew that some would be saved through his
preaching.
Acts
17:32-34 "And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and
others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. So Paul departed from among them. Howbeit certain men clave unto Him and believe: among the which was Dionysius the Aeropagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with him."

News
never eternally delivered anyone from the wrath to come. News delivers from the
fear that comes with ignorance. I suggest you define the word "saved"
each time you use it by it's context. It is hard to separate with out the
context. Romans 10:13 is not a means to gain eternal life even though the whole religious world thinks it is!
sing
Cantjo, when will you ever move beyond mere religious
shibboleths?
"The gospel being the instrument... to save as many whom God
intended."
Please explain how is the gospel the instrument to save as many as
God intended. No more platitudes and shibboleths please.
"Not found wanting for having failed to offer the
gospel..."
What is it to offer the gospel? To whom do you offer the gospel? And what's the use to offer the gospel to such?
Cantjo
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of
Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
We don't know whom God have given faith.
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to repent:
The general call?
Acts 17:32-33 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead,
some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. So Paul
departed from among them.
Those who don't want to hear, move on.
Arthur Steele said 'the difference between believing and unbelief is the gulf between heaven and hell'
sing
Cantjo, who are those whose minds need blinding? Do the minds of
those still dead in trespasses and sins need blinding?
No, you DON'T need to know in whom the Spirit of God has worked
faith. You DON'T need to know. But you need to know that the Spirit of God
works faith in God's children only. Logically, they are children first, and the
indwelling Spirit works faith in such.
Whose ignorance did God wink at? The ignorance of His children
among the Gentiles, or the ignorance of those dead in trespasses and sins?
And just WHO are those "all men everywhere" that God
commands to repent... His children among all tribes, people, tongues and
nations; or all men everywhere who are still dead in their trespasses and sins?
What does your "general call" do? What does your general
call hope to accomplish?
If you wish to comment further, answer those questions concerning
the Scriptures you have quoted.
When you have to quote a man as your authority, you have lost you
cause!!!
Those who end up in the lake of fire is not because of their unbelief.
Jesus Christ was never their Saviour, and they have no duty to believe what is
not true of them. And they can never be guilty of unbelief in Christ.
