Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things" 2Ti 2:7.

Procreation activity of mankind in the first 15 centuries

Genesis 6
1 ¶And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

I have been tossing a question in my mind.

In the first 15+ century, up to Noah’s time, what was happening in the procreation activity of mankind?

Here are some scenarios.

1. Sons of men and daughters of men joined themselves as husbands and wives, and they brought forth sons and daughters… (without no further distinction); and their sons and daughters continue the procreation process.

- The simple and plain command to them was “Be fruitful and multiply…”; no caveats or restrictions.

- All happened naturally and normally for 15+ centuries.

2. Sons of God and daughters of God joined themselves as husbands and wives, and brought forth sons and daughters. All their sons and daughters were also godly, and they continued the procreation process.

- Were there non-elect among the descendants of Seth?

- If there were, then who did they marry, godly Sethites?

- If so, did that constitute mixed marriage, then? (i.e. godly Sethites marry ungodly Sethites.)

3. Sons of godless men and daughters of godless men joined themselves as husbands and wives, and brought forth sons and daughters, all their sons and daughters were also ungodly, and they continue the procreation process.

- Were there elect of God among the descendants of Cain?

- If there were, then who did they marry? Godless Cainites?

- If so, did that constitute mixed marriage, then?

With 2 and 3, there was no intermarriage between the so-called ‘godly’ line and the ‘godless’ line. There was a clear segregation for 15+ centuries. After 15+ centuries of clear segregation, intermarriage between “sons of godly men” and “daughters of godless men” began to happen, leading to the universal moral corruption in the time of Noah.

- This is the most popular explanation of what happened in Genesis 6 – mixed marriage between the sons of the godly line and daughters of the godless line.

Can you think of another scenario?

Read the Book of 1st Enoch and you'll get some answers, and don't worry, the book was WIDELY known throughout Israel in the 1st century, as it is even quoted in the New Testament by Apostles, moved by the Holy Spirit, to include Jesus' half-brother (Jude). It's NOT scripture, but it will give you the truth of which you seek. The "sethite" view of Genesis 6 is not true to the TEXT of scripture. The mating of good and bad people does not create GIANTS throughout the earth, which were a problem still all the way til the time of David. And these giants weren't "big people". The nephilim were cursed offspring of fallen angels and human women. Fallen angels are fallen angels. Demons are the earthbound spirits of the nephilim. You will also find that the angels who left their first estate also taught men warfare, cosmetics and all kinds of "secret" knowledge that, over millennia, corrupted the whole human race AND the bloodlines with giant DNA. Had Satan's plan succeeded, there could be NO messiah, So much so that Noah was called "perfect in his generations" or untainted blood. It obviously didn't mean Noah was sinless for the text tells you that Noah "found GRACE in the eyes of the Lord."
