What shall we say then?
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Truth may be abused, teach it anyway!
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Truth may be abused, teach it anyway!

Which is to be preferred: a biblical and sound doctrine that may be abused, or a subtle lies that intends to preempt that abuse? What meaneth? Here they are.
Your eternal salvation is entirely by God's free grace PLUS NOTHING, resulting with this abuse of "aha, let us sin that grace may abound."
Or, you must persevere in faith and obedience to the end of your life in order to be saved, to preemept that abuse.

I have never thought about this issue, until a brother kindly laid it right before my dissecting table in these helpful words. God bless him. Here are his words [verbatim] that set forth the issue so plainly. The brother wrote:
=====
"I'm not bias and I wanna get to be truth specially on this issue that bring to major problems:
- the Calvinistic view could bring a performance driven yeast on a congregation with pharisaic effects on the flesh to act as a qualified child of God only on the outside appearance for men/elders approval. But on the positive of this view it will cause a child of God to come to the throne of grace and ask the Father to be empower more and more to be fruitful, to be more Loving, more Christ-like and so and so.
- On the other hand your view can cause a yeast of " lets go on sinning that Grace may abound more and more" or total disregard of any Warning that the Lord gives to the unfruitful servant, unfruitful branch, idle men.... brother Sing so many warning to those who are not "for Him" and not doing "the will" of the Father (as a normal lifestyle) ... And the positive or the good fruit of these view could be that promotes....?? no idea ... any one?....
*I Wanna ask myself if I'm Satan and wanna make the church of the Lord unfruitful and idle towards the will of God and the Kingdom :..
*.Which of these two views will help accomplish Satan's will? also we need to remember that in the demonic bible (google it) it's said that the main commandment of Satan is "Do as you will or please you, and that is the fulfillment of satan Law"
*And back to your concern about LIES lets remember satan is the father of all lies>

He put the issue as starkly as possible. This is the first time this issue has been put to me, and in such plain manner - which is to be preferred - a biblical and sound doctrine that may be abused, or a subtle lies that intends to preempt that abuse?

I do understand the valid and biblical concern you raised.
They are good and legitimate concerns, and it is of utmost importance that they must be kept to their proper and legitimate CONTEXT.
The new school calvinistic view leads to a grave DOCTRINAL error that destroys the gospel truth of eternal salvation by grace. The Scriptures CONDEMNED this error that repudiates eternal salvation by God's free grace [alone].
The Biblical view may lead to a serious PRACTICAL error [abuse] that hinders the discipleship of God's children. The Scriptures openly and plainly acknowledges the possibility of that silly notion, and provides powerful arguments again this practical error [abuse].
The Bible is plainly honest that God's children may and believe and act very unbecomingly. And they need to be patiently and faithfully ministered.
The new school calvinists would just write off such people as not God's children to begin with... even though they genuinely and sincerely believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, but do not measure up to their 'calvinistic' expectation.
On the one hand we have a MASSIVE doctrinal error.
Its 'so-called' desired and intended result could be EQUALLY achieved with the SOUND doctrine... that's the Bible's way... without the inherent pharasaic effect of the wrong doctrine.
Apostolic Christianity has shown the way...

" What a man says and what a man is must stand together."
Very good, sir.
Let a man who professes so loudly from one side of his mouth that he is saved by the free grace of God alone NEVER BE THE SAME MAN, or STAND WITH ANOTHER MAN who says that that same salvation is conditioned upon his perseverance in a life of faith and obedience to the end of his life!
Let there NOT be another case of 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'.

" What a man says and what a man is must stand together."
=====
Is that an exhortation, or a statement of truth?
Is that the same as saying these?
"What a man says and what a man is should stand together."
"What a man says and what a man is stand together."
And what happens when what a man is does not stand together with what he says? Does he cease to be a man?
Remember, I ask to learn. I want to understand your quote.
Others pontificate to teach.

Which is more delightful: to worship God in truth or to be bound in a lie? I choose to worship God in truth, knowing there will always be those who will try to pervert the truth.

What is worshiping God in -un-truth?
And how is worshiping God in un-truth less delightful?
