He didn't say, "Help me to produce my sheep."
Dr Marrow heard loud and clear, and understood the implication!

Sing F Lau Here is an apt and powerful observation by Dr Marrow
"After the Lord's resurrection He appeared to Peter and John by the Lake and fixed their breakfast. He then rebuked and re-commissioned Peter. He commanded Peter to feed his sheep... not win souls, not make plans for evangelism but feed my lambs." Marrow.
I would add, the whole purpose of evangelism is to feed and nourish God's children, make disciples of them.

Amen.

I would say that in all of his ministry, Apostle Paul was ACUTELY aware that his ministry is specifically for the children of God, i.e. the elect that are already regenerated.
The proof is in Paul's own words: "Therefore I endure all things... for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory." 2Ti 2:10
He endured all things for the ELECT'S sake, and no one else. Period. He was acutely conscious that he is of no service to them that are perishing. His ministry is relevant ONLY to them that ARE SAVED already.
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which ARE SAVED it is the power of God."
Eaton
Amen again.

God calls some to be fishers of men, some to be feeders of sheep.
Sing F Lau That's an interesting observation: feeders and fishers.
Please elaborate a wee bit! I want to learn the difference.
I know Peter was both.
