If this sincere man had
understood the distinction between eternal salvation and temporal salvation, he
wouldn't have spouted such blasphemous remarks.
He has sincerely but ignorantly MISREPRESENTED "once saved, always saved" as
"once a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, nothing they do afterward can ever cause them to lose their salvation." This is just a silly strawman of his imagination.
May the Lord grant each who reads with
understanding of OSAS.

[28/07/2026 11:13] Sing Lau: Once saved by
God - i e. justified, regenerated, and adopted - immutably and eternally saved.
That is OSAS.
- once justified by God through the
righteousness of Christ, ALWAYS and IMMUTABLY justified;
- once regenerated by the Spirit of God,
ALWAYS and IMMUTABLY regenerated;
- once adopted by God into the Divine family;
ALWAYS and IMMUTABLY a child of God.
Romans 8 KJT
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he
also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified.
To believe otherwise is bad exegesis, and worse, maligning God as incompetent as well as a liar. Also, your "salvation by grace alone" is just a shibboleth; you necessarily end up believing "salvation by works" which you loathe (in words only).
It's a grievous sin to misrepresent the
scriptural teaching of once saved by God, immutably and eternally saved.
Of course, "once saved by my faith in
Christ, I'm always saved" is a plain lie.
"Once saved by God, immutably and eternally saved"
is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM
"once saved by my faith in Christ, I'm always saved."
To think they are the same is plain STUPIDITY, i.e. lacking common sense.
Romans 8
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death,
nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come,|39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
There is an eternal salvation purposed by
God, secured by Jesus Christ, and freely applied by the Spirit of God to each
elect when dead in trespasses and sins... IMMUTABLY bringing each into the
eternal salvation in Christ Jesus.
There is a temporal salvation that each child
of God (i.e. one ALREADY FREELY BESTOWED ETERNAL SALVATION) must work out, with
fear and trembling, for himself. In this a child of God can make shipwreck
of his faith.
The Scriptures speak of both; but OSAS
refers to the former. Of the latter, consider these scriptures:
1 Timothy 1:19 KJT — Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck.
Philippians 2:12 KJT — Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling..
2Peter 1 KJT
5 ¶And beside this, giving all diligence, add
to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to
temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to
brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound,
they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God's children can be barren and unfruitful if they don't with all diligence ADD to their faith those graces enumerated.
The person in the meme is barking up the wrong tree. He's burning a straw man of his own making.
Be careful, folks; it is no light matter to misrepresent the LORD.
The LORD's wrath is kindled against such.
Beware, lest you are accomplices.
Job 42 KJT
7 And it was so, that after the LORD had
spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is
kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me
the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks
and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt
offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I
deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing
which is right, like my servant Job.
