Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things"
2Ti 2:7.

Do your job; tell the truth

"If two people come and say — one says it’s raining outside and the other says it’s dry, you don’t bring the quotes of both sides. You just G-- d--n open the window and look whether it’s raining or not... Do your job and tell the truth."  ~~ N. Bennett

Well said, well said. Someone is shown to be an idiot!

==============================

If two preachers come to you:
— one says his gospel preaching is necessary for the REGENERATION of the hearers who are dead in trespasses and sins and
— the other says his gospel preaching is needed for the CONVERSION of those whom God Himself has already regenerated,

You don’t quote as though both are truthful; this makes you look like an idiot! You open the Scriptures and rightly divide the word of truth.

It is ONE or the OTHER; it cannot be both. There is no such fable as the ordinary way of regeneration through the preaching of the gospel, and the exceptional way of regeneration without the preaching of the gospel!

I'd like to tell you why, and let these words of Christ Himself sink down into your ears.

John 3:8 - KJT
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

"So is every one that is born of the Spirit" - this is not difficult English or complicated concept, is it?

1Cor 14:38
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

A wilfully ignorant man cannot be helped; leave him in his wilful ignorance.

But you, "do your job and tell the truth."
