Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things"
2Ti 2:7.

Judgest thou must, but righteously judge.

Looks impressive...

Judgest thou must, but righteously judge.

John 7:24 KJV
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

1 Cor 5:12
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? (Are you even WITHIN, a member of a NT church?)

1 Cor 11:31
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

If we judge not ourselves, then the members of the covenant body (them that are within...) are expected to fulfil that solemn responsibility.

Self-judgment is always more bearable than judgment through responsible brethren (fellow children of the one Father), but self-judgment is a discipline rarely cultivated by God’s children.

If your brother acted to turn you away from your sin, don't accuse him of being judgmental. THANK him/her for not leaving you in your sin.

Hear what the Book says in James 5:
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

but on the inside... yuck.
Some say, judge not, just eat it up.
