Matthew
7
21 ¶Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works?
23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that
work iniquity.
You
have no doubt heard this passage quoted and tossed around, often abused and
misused.

-
What is the condition to enter heaven?

Does everyone who is expected to do the will of Christ's Father do it?
verse
22:
-
What is "that day" spoken of?
-
Is the day spoken of already past or still future?
-
Who are "the many" who confess Jesus as their Lord?

What sort of people attribute their works to the Lord Jesus Christ?
verse
23:
-
In what sense did the Lord never know them?

You
may have your own questions; ask away.
Who
are justly culpable of lip service?
Will
the Lord justly charge you, and me for lip service?
