This is an unpalatable truth but a HARSH REALITY with many of God's children, both the Arminians as well as the Calvinists. Obvious errors are posted on FB; they are liked and loved and shared without blinking of the eyes.

God so loved, through His Son Jesus Christ,
He FREELY and SOVEREIGNLY gives eternal salvation
to those dead in trespasses and sins;

Faith is an effect of salvation,
not the instrument to secure salvation.
Why do so many believers, both Arminians and Calvinists alike, so mindlessly repeat and regurgitate falsehood.
The eternal salvation which had been PURPOSED by God for His people was ACCOMPLISHED by Christ's righteousness (His life of perfect obedience on behalf of His people) and blood (His sacrificial and atoning death on behalf of His people); this salvation is freely and sovereignly APPLIED by the Spirit of God, to each elect personally when they are in their native state of sin and death. SALVATION IS BY THE GRACE OF GOD ALONE, i.e. HOW the salvation, purposed by God and accomplished by Christ, is BESTOWED to each elect.
Only those to whom God has freely bestowed salvation is capable of believing.

Faith is Jesus Christ is the only instrument to EXPERIENCE the salvation that has been freely and sovereignly applied; that eternal salvation is founded in Christ, and faith in Christ is the only means to experience the blessedness of that salvation. Cornelius was ALREADY saved by God but it was upon hearing and believing the gospel of Jesus Christ that he experienced great rejoicing. Acts 10.
Christians should learn these elementary gospel truths and cease from the silly sound-bytes!

Remember the parable of the sower; it describes A HARSH REALITY in the kingdom of heaven. Many in the kingdom of heaven are LOUSY and CARELESS hearers; they are hearing but not perceiving nor understanding; they fail to bear fruit, in learning and coming to the knowledge of the truth.
