Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things"
2Ti 2:7.

For that which is CONCEIVED... and BORN

For that which is CONCEIVED...
For unto you is BORN...
Where is He that is BORN...
To this end was I BORN...

Matthew 1:20 — But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Luk 2:11 - For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Mt 2:2 - Saying, Where is he that IS BORN King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Joh 18:37 - Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end WAS I BORN, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth...

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (This is the second person of the eternal Godhead; eternal, and unbegotten)
Joh 1:14 - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only BEGOTTEN of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (This is Jesus, the dual-natured divine-human being, the begotten Son of God).

When the eternal, unbegotten Word was made flesh, the Son of God was divinely conceived, and He was born at the end of the gestation period. Jesus is the only begotten of God the Father. DIVINELY begotten in time, in the womb of a virgin woman.

Jesus the Christ, the Son of the eternal God, is DIVINELY begotten, He is not eternally begotten; the former is the plain truth, the latter is a fable and oxymoronic.
