Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things"
2Ti 2:7.

Learn to ask sensible question first please...

Do you have a question? What's your question?
Do you know how to ask your real question?
However many often end up asking non-question question -
i.e. they actually wish to give their opinion but no questions!
Asking precise questions is a skill that we need to learn.
Asking questions precisely enhances communication, and discussion!

Here is an example...
A silly willy nilly thinks he is asking the same question below?
- What can we determine that the preacher is NOT preaching a "lie"?
- How could a lying tongue preach the truth in the HOLY Scriptures?
The former is the initial question; the latter is rephrased.

Hi Brother Sing,
Here is a new question I wish to ask you, for the better understanding of the scripture.
1. Babies are born with "lying" tongues, but the HOLY scripture is of the "Truth". What can we determine that the preacher is NOT preaching a "lie"?

Wish to hear some "sound" explanation from you on this topic today.

Thank you.

Brother Willy,
You made TWO statements, and asked ONE question.
Your two statements are:
- Babies are born with "lying" tongues, and
- The HOLY scriptures is of the "Truth".

Your question is:
What can we determine that the preacher is NOT preaching a "lie"?

May I ask, in order to understand your question better
- You made two statements before your question.  How are your two statements related to your question?
- In your first statement, lying is placed under quotation mark. What is the significance?
- In your second statement, Truth is placed under quotation mark. What is the significance?

Concerning your question, do you wish to ask,
HOW can we determine whether the preacher is NOT preaching a "lie"? or
WHAT can we do to determine that the preacher is not preaching a "lie"?
This is because "what can we determine that the preacher is not preaching a "lie"? doesn't make much sense to me.

Why in your question is lie placed under quotation mark? What is the significance?

Do you wish to hear some "sound" explanation on which topic?
- that babies are born with "lying" tongues?
- that the HOLY scriptures is of the "Truth"?
- what can we determine that the preacher is not preaching a "lie".

Sorry for saying so much and not answering your question.
Perhaps you need a little more skill to ask more precisely.

I will compensate you with this note: A man himself must be firmly grounded in the truth of the Holy Scriptures first, or at least having mastered the skill of rightly dividing the word of truth, before he is qualified to determine whether a preacher is, or is, not preaching a lie. Otherwise he himself may be believing lies and yet knows it not!!!

I hope this helps.
Ask further if you have further questions.

Hi Pastor Lau,

Let me rephrase my question.
Initial question:-
1. Babies are born with "lying" tongues, but the HOLY scripture is of the "Truth". What can we determine that the preacher is NOT preaching a "lie"?

The two statement was made to help understanding that a baby was born to lie, how could a lying tongue preach the Truth in the HOLY Scriptures? (a lying tongue) doesn't agree with (preach the Truth).

For your information, in case you can't see it, i have put my question in red letters. Please kindly answer my question with your understanding of the Bible, don't beat around the bushes.

(I will compensate you with this note: A man himself must be firmly grounded in the truth of the Holy Scriptures first, or at least having mastered the skill of rightly dividing the word of truth, before he is qualified to determine whether a preacher is, or is, not preaching a lie. Otherwise he himself may be believing lies and knows it not!!!) - this is not the exact answer to this question, because we can't mastered the skill of rightly dividing the word of truth through our sinful body and carnal mind; let alone preaching in God's ministry. I am giving you a hint here.
Thank you.

Brother Willy,
You already answered your own question! Why bother asking???
have a good day.

Hi Pastor Lau,
No, I have not answered yet. I just giving you hint. The answer is plain and simple, in less than 10 words, you can answer it easily if you know. Do you know the answer? You can say you don't know, don't be a boaster. Be humble unto the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you.

Willy Nilly,
You know what I think of you? Someone looking for a quarrel.
You could NOT even ask a question properly to start with.... and I helped you to ask the question sensibly, and you accused of me beating round the bush.
You have neither the courtesy nor humility to admit your own deficiencies!

Why do you even waste time asking the question when you already know your answer to your question?
Giving a hint is as good as an evidence that you know the answer. You even disclosed that the answer is plain and simple.

I can give you a one word answer... but what good will that do to a all-knowing smart aleck like you?

Willie, you were conceived and born in sin, dead in trespasses and sins, in enmity against God.
How could someone dead in trespasses and sins end up confessing Christ?

No, I don't know the answer... and I am boasting in my ignorance.
But I glory and rejoice in your wisdom!

Have a good day, Willy.
