"Those whom God effectually calleth, He
also freely justifieth..."
FREELY... FREELY... FREELY... FREELY.
So, is it FREELY, or NOT FREELY?
Then, why do so very many adamantly insist
that it is NOT FREELY, but by faith, i.e. the believing act of man?

Here is the whole paragraph, 1689.11.1.
Read it carefully, and get its plain sense.
Those whom God effectually calleth, He also
freely justifieth:
- NOT BY infusing
righteousness into them,
- BUT BY pardoning their sins, and by
accounting and accepting their persons as righteous;
- NOT FOR anything
wrought in them, or done by them,
- BUT FOR Christ's sake alone;
- NOT BY imputing
faith itself, the act of believing, or any other evangelical obedience to them,
as their righteousness;
- BUT BY imputing Christ's active obedience
unto the whole law, and passive obedience in His death for their whole and sole
righteousness,
- THEY RECEIVING AND RESTING on Him and His
righteousness by faith, which faith they have not of themselves; it is the gift
of God." 1689.11.1

No room for a spin in that, Sing. freely
justified!

How could anyone read the above and still
believe that their justification is by faith, their act of believing is a
puzzle.
Justification by God is NOT FOR anything
wrought in them, or done by them.
If justification is by faith (their act of
believing) then it is by something WROUGHT IN THEM... faith is a grace wrought
in them by the Spirit of God.
If justification is by faith (their act of
believing) then it is by something DONE BY THEM... believing is an act done by
man.
Could anything be plainer!

"THEY RECEIVING AND RESTING on Him and
His righteousness by faith, which faith they have not of themselves; it is the
gift of God"

The act of God in justifying a condemned
sinner, and
The act of the justified receiving and
resting on Christ and His righteousness by faith are TWO DISTINCT AND DIFFERENT
ACTS!
You banking a billion $ into the bankrupt's
account, and him believing the good news brought by your herald and going to
the bank to draw on that money are two separate and distinct activities.
You didn't bank the money because he believed
and went to the bank. But that is exactly the lie so many are preaching.

The act of God in justifying a condemned
sinner, and
The act of the justified receiving and
resting on Christ and His righteousness by faith are TWO DISTINCT AND DIFFERENT
ACTS!
God justifies the condemned and dead; believing
evidences and vindicates the justified state of the believer by the FREE grace
of God..
The former is the cause, the latter is the
evidence.
The former is ALWAYS LOGICALLY and
CHRONOLOGICALLY prior to the latter.
The spirit of delusion is upon them new
school Baptists - RBs, the Fullerite Calvinists, etc... They are NO different
from the Arminians in this great error.
They preach a FALSE gospel
Sing
"THEY RECEIVING AND RESTING on Him and
His righteousness by faith, which faith they have not of themselves; it is the
gift of God"
====
The pronoun 'they' refers to those ALREADY
justified by God... and these receive and rest in Christ and His righteousness,
THUS evidencing their justified state by the free grace of God.
The Old School Baptists unanimously declared:
"The reason why any are justified IS NOT
because they have faith; but the reason why they have faith IS because they are
justified."
Their TRUE children believe the same to this
days.
Many BASTARDS (KJV's non-politically correct
word for 'illegitimate') who claim to be children of the Old School Baptists
believe the OPPOSITE, i.e they anathematize what the Old School Baptists
declared. They will insist, "The reason why any are justified IS
because they have faith; and the reason why they have faith IS NOT because they
are justified."

Someone asked, what about the next paragraph?
Here it is:
"2. Faith thus receiving and resting on
Christ and His righteousness, is the alone instrument of justification; yet it
is not alone in the person justified, but ever accompanied with all other
saving graces, and is no dead faith, but worketh by love."
So what about it?
Receiving and resting on Christ and His
righteousness is the ALONE instrument of justification.
Does this mean, the alone instrument to
appropriate or obtain or secure justification before God?
How is receiving and resting on Christ His
righteousness the ALONE instrument of justification? What does that mean?
What does an instrument do? An instrument is
a device to show/evidence the presence of justification by the free grace of
God.
A voltmeter is a device to show the presence
of voltage in a circuit; it DOES NOT produce or generates voltage into the circuit.
It says, faith is a grace found in a
justified person!
DO YOU READ THAT?????
It is the justification by God's free grace
that produces the saving grace of faith, ALONG with ALL OTHER SAVING GRACES, in
a person.
Do you read that?????

1689.11.3 - third paragraph on justification:
Christ, by His obedience and death, did fully
discharge the debt of all those that are justified; and did, by the sacrifice
of Himself in the blood of His cross, undergoing in their stead the penalty due
unto them, make a proper, real, and full satisfaction to God's justice in their
behalf; yet inasmuch as He was given by the Father for them, and His obedience
and satisfaction accepted in their stead, and BOTH FREELY, not for anything in
them, their justification is ONLY OF FREE GRACE, that both the exact justice
and rich grace of God might be glorified in the justification of sinners.
=====
Don't the RBs and other Fullerite new school
baptists who claim to hold to the 1689 CoF see those words,
"BOTH FREELY, and not for anything in
them, their justification is ONLY OF FREE GRACE..."
What causes them to miss those plain and
simple words? Have they lost the very concept of FREE and FREE GRACE?
Then why the shibbolethic mantra,
"justification by faith alone"? What has bewitched them?
