The
gospel ministry brings CA$H to God's children.
All
are conceived in sin and born in sin... and grow up in sin... find themselves
born into all sorts of religions, and embrace all sorts of religions. The elect
of God is found among all of them. Of course, a few pretend themselves to be
free-thinker atheists!
In
such a condition, God effectually called His elect among them out of their
native state of sin and death to that of righteousness and salvation in Jesus
Christ. In the effectual call, each is justified personally - freely by God's
grace, apart from man's faith - regenerated, adopted, indwelt by the Holy
Spirit, and perfectly fitted for eternal glory.
In
that sense, God's children are found in every religion. It is the purpose and
function of the gospel ministry to seek them and call them out of their
ignorance and vain religions and convert them to Christ and His religion.
Act
17:30
And
the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every
where to repent
Rev
5:9
And
they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the
seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood
out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.
Those
already made fit for eternal glory by the finished work of Christ need the
knowledge of that salvation by God's free grace so that they can journey
through this brief life with Comfort, Assurance, Strength, and Hope.
