Christianity has been transformed into Churchianity |

In the early 1990s, I was ploughing through Dr. Warfield's 10-volume Works (by Baker Book House). It was the first time I came across the idea of a Christless Christianity* - Dr. Warfield solemnly warned the readers. The very idea itself seemed implausible to me, how could such a thing be but I was green and naive then. Over the years, as the Lord taught me things, I begin to understand his warning.
Recently I interacted with a man who actually rejoices in the vast varieties of beliefs found in churches; he sees it as a good healthy competition among churches. Such a perverse perspective is entirely in harmony with his disdain for doctrines; every believer is entitled to his personal opinions, he insisted.
Be careful with such a mindset. Forget John 3:16 for a moment. Remember these two 3:16 instead
2 Peter 3:16 KJV — As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2Tim 3:16KJV - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Christless Christianity is a reality, as real as the prevalent Churchianity.
May the Lord have mercy upon this untoward generation.
