"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints" Psalm 116:15 |
The late Mr Low was converted in his mid 60s. He used to say sarcastically to his believing children, "I will only go to church if they've mahjong tables." Yet the Lord Jehovah saved him, and gloriously.
Realizing
that he was converted soooo late in life, and having started the race
so late in his life, he was determined to devote the remaining life to run well
for his Lord and Saviour. For even the leftovers must be the best possible. And
that he did - from the testimonies of various people.
There was an exhortation from John 9:4 "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." This spirit of Christ was evident in, and marked the life of uncle Low.
"It is better to go to the house of mourning..." at least for one reason - the dead godly saints will yet speak to the living.
Thanks for reading this rambling.Brethren,

"It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart." |
PRECIOUS in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints...
Meditate on this wonderful declaration.
And consider, what does that preciousness consist of?
