Things New and Old

Ancient truths revealed in the Scriptures are often forgotten, disbelieved or distorted, and therefore lost in the passage of time. Such ancient truths when rediscovered and relearned are 'new' additions to the treasury of ancient truths.

Christ showed many new things to the disciples, things prophesied by the prophets of old but hijacked and perverted by the elders and their traditions, but which Christ reclaimed and returned to His people.

Many things taught by the Apostles of Christ have been perverted or substituted over the centuries. Such fundamental doctrines like salvation by grace and justification have been hijacked and perverted and repudiated by sincere Christians. These doctrines need to be reclaimed and restored to God's people.

There are things both new and old here. "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things"
2Ti 2:7.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD

Photo: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
 8 ¶ But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Gen 6
=====

May I inquire:
1. In what sense did Noah find grace in the eyes of the LORD?

2. Did any one else in that generation find grace in the eyes of the LORD in the same sense?

3. Were there any elect of the LORD among those who perished in the flood?

4. Were the other seven souls in the ark the elect of God? Did they find the grace of the LORD in the same way Noah did?

5. Whatever happened to all those from the so called godly line of Seth, e.g. Noah's parents and siblings.

Please help me with some answers. Thanks.

I was thinking about these things when I was wrapping some starfruit in the evening.

When I till the Lord's earth (something therapeutic and refreshing for me), my mind mines the Lord's word.
