He shall have an abundance!
Mt 25:29 "For unto every one that hath
shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall
be taken away even that which he hath."
Do you have a desire, and strive to grow, and
be fruitful as a child of God? Do you want abundance? Then more shall be given
you to attain that to the glory and praise of your Lord!
Do you care not for your spiritual
privileges, your well being and usefulness as God's child of grace? Then watch
out - even the little that you have shall waste away!
This warning struck godly fear, diligence,
and urgency into me when the Lord first made it dawn on me! Coming from a pagan
background, and converted late, I have so much to catch up, and to make up for
the lost time! Our gracious and merciful Lord gave me a teachable heart,
willing to be taught His servants, and to ready to learn the word of His truth.
It is an injurious matter to neglect and
despise the exhortation of the Lord to grow and make progress. God's children,
through their own negligence and sloth, and stiff-neck and unbelief, can,
and do make shipwreck of their faith! Even Timothy was warned against it by the
Apostle Paul.
